Sergino Dest’s future also being observed by Bayern Munich plus more …

Manchester City are prepared to ‘competitor’ German giants Bayern Munich in a bid to obtain the signing of complete back Sergino Dest.

The 21-year-old has seen his game time limited since the arrival of new head coach Xavi Fernandez and with the club requiring much needed funds wherever possible, it is thought Dest could be one of the players allowed to leave the club this summer.

Brought in by former manager Ronald Koeman, the USA international has featured 16 times so far this season and could be eyed as possible replace ageing right-back Kyle Walker.

Dest reportedly does not fit the style appropriate to new boss Xavi and according to this report published on FanSided, has fallen behind the pecking order to both Oscar Mingueza and Clement Lenglet.

The fee demanded by Blaugrana could go as high as £30-40 million, but with plenty of development and possible left to go regarding the 21-year-old, City could swoop in later in the summer.

Featuring 20 times already for Os Arcebispos, the 19 year-old is seen as a summer addition for Scott Parker’s Bournemouth side, should they make the return to the top flight this season.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti on Twitter, the Cherries have identified the teenager as a possible loan option heading into next year’s summer move window.

Couto has also before spent time out on loan with Girona, as he looks to adapt to the European leagues as quickly as possible.
