Love Island’s Liam and Millie self-isolating in Dubai after positive C…

Love Island’s Liam Reardon and Millie Court have been forced to cancel their exotic excursions in Dubai after Liam has tested positive for Covid.

The associate, who met earlier this year on the ITV2 dating series, flew out to Dubai earlier this week and had been looking forward to a tour of the desert and a New Years Eve party this evening – but their plans have had to be put on keep up after Liam has had a positive consequence from his PCR coronavirus test.

Sharing the news to her Instagram story, Millie said she and Liam, from Merthyr Tydfil, are “absolutely gutted” with the positive consequence and explained they had been taking lateral flow tests “every day” throughout the Christmas period.

Sharing a photo of the sunset on an exotic beach, understood to be at the resort the associate are staying in in Dubai, Millie said: “Hey guys, sorry I’ve been a bit quiet with posting our holiday fun – but we received some bad news and Liam’s PCR has come back ‘presumptive positive’.

“This method we have to isolate now for three days in hope that it may be negative then. If it is then we’re free to leave, but if it’s positive then we have to finish the 10 day quarantine.

“We are absolutely gutted. We had to cancel the desert tour we had planned today last minute, we were supposed to be celebrating tonight what an amazing year we’ve both had but we’ll be celebrating inside our room and watching the firework characterize from our balcony.

“Worst part is we were supposed to be flying to the Maldives in two days’ time. Liam bought and surprised me with this holiday of a lifetime for my birthday and it’s all gone wrong.”

Millie continued: “People will say ‘shouldn’t of [sic] gone during a pandemic anyway’ however we’re not living our lives in fear and we’re trying to love our lives to the best we can being as safe as possible.

“Throughout Christmas myself and Liam did lateral flows every day and when we saw family we got them to test themselves with lateral flows too.

“We were being additional precautious. Liam feels absolutely fine, no symptoms whatsoever and I am negative. Fingers crossed we get some good news in a few days and we can continue our trip to the Maldives.”

Explaining why she and Liam hadn’t been sharing much of their trip on social media, she additional: “So if you’re wondering why there isn’t that much content it’s because we’re stuck in our room. Only so much content we can post in here! Who knows, I might do a make up tutorial for you guys, fill the time”

Liam’s positive PCR test comes just a day after he shared a photo of he and Millie in a designer store at Heathrow Airport and said: “Airport photo. We’re going to Dubai. First holiday together and we can’t wait.”

He later shared Millie’s sunset photo and statement about his positive test on his Instagram story, but didn’t add any additional comment.

The associate’s holiday came just a few days after the associate spent Christmas together in Wales with Liam’s family in Merthyr Tydfil, before travelling back to England to celebrate with Millie’s family.

While staying with Millie’s dad in Sudbury, Suffolk, Liam performed Tom Jones songs on the karaoke.
